Grand Beach

Isn’t Birding Grand

Boreal forest species abound in Grand Beach Provincial Park on the Ancient Beach Trail, which features two viewpoints atop the Belair moraine formed by glacial deposits. For sheer diversity of bird life, take the Wild Wings Trail to Grand Beach marsh, known locally as the lagoon. Meander through a maze of cattails and willows to viewing platforms. Make a summer date with the endangered Piping Plover, nestled safely in an enclosure on the sandy, pebbly beach. This park is especially good for fall migration.
